Greentech for ports and terminals conference 2024

The road to net zero

Join Ricardo at GreenTech for ports and terminals conference on the 7th - 8th May 2024 at The World Trade Center, Barcelona. We are proud to be a bronze sponsor for this conference, supporting the decarbonisation of the maritime industry.

The GreenTech for ports and terminals conference is dedicated for C-level port and terminal professionals for sustainable, smart ports.  This integral maritime 2024 conference will bring 2-days’ worth of content featuring case studies and keynote addresses from leading stakeholders in the maritime industry and panel discussions, hosting the world’s leading ports and terminals.

The conference will have a focus on decarbonisation and environmental harm, helping ports and terminals to build a business case for investing in new sustainable technologies and practices. The agenda is still being finalised.

Ricardo supports the decarbonisation of the maritime sector

The maritime industry is hard to decarbonise, fueled by oil, and challenging to electrify. Shipping plays a vital role in the global economy, with 50,000 vessels carrying 90% of the world’s cargo. But the maritime sector is a heavy polluter, necessitating innovative solutions to curb emission levels — especially because the maritime trade’s deliveries are predicted to triple by 2050.

Now is the time to invest in alternative fuels and create sustainable ports and a sustainable maritime future.
